How Many Businesses Have You Tried?
April 17, 2009 – 6:33 pmI’ve tried several things over the years. I started out offering Desktop Publishing services and went from there to Web and Graphic Design. I still do a little of that for select clients but for the most part, I’m a Web Publisher and Business Coach.
I’ve had a Ghostwriting Business and learned I don’t like managing writers who are writing for other people. I had a PLR company that I gave up for pretty much the same reason. I don’t like generating content for others - I’d rather create it for myself.
Sometimes you have to try a few things to find out what you love and don’t love.
There’s nothing wrong with giving something a try and moving on. So long as you’re learning something in the process.
Sometimes I see WAHMs moving from one opportunity to another - with very little difference between them. I wonder if they’re learning anything about what works for them or if they’re just chasing the next big idea. Some do get addicted to the preparation and launch phase of a new business.
Some questions for you: (Would love your comments)
How many businesses have you tried? What have you learned from them?
Have you found finally something that you could stick to?

Hi Kelly
Well I’m not a work-at-home-mom but I saw your post and was interested enough to read it. Like yourself I have tried many, many things over the years to create an income from home.
Most of which I didn’t like either and moved on to the next. The two things I really did like though were 1) info product resale rights and 2) blogging.
However both can be time consuming and require a strict adherence to a schedule to be successful and not eat up all of your time and resources.
But both are very profitable if you like them and stick with it.

Sometimes it’s really that simple, isn’t it? I feel a little stupid for not thinking of this myself/earlier, though.

Where do I begin?Yes I have tried alot of home businesses with minimal success. My first start in the home business industry was Herbalife and I was successful.I really enjoyed it.Then I had odds with my upline and decided to pursue other things.Anyways I think I am happy with blogging and affiliate marketing.I still purchase from a few companies for personal use,but mainly its my blog that I am promoting along with being an affiliate for a few companies.

I have wasted so much time and money on so many different things, affiliate marketing seems to be the most prosperous. I finally found this amazing website; it has no cost so I couldn’t lose and it offers everything anyone could possibly need, so it is recession proof. I will stick with this one for many years to come…
