Hey Gina,

I have the same issues with my Snowflake and Bootsie - only it's not sleep, it's the phone. When the headset goes on, they wake up!

But I wouldn't trade them for anything - when I rant about something, they always agree with me.

I think.

Thanks to your post, I can't feel good just sitting here today. I was planning on skipping my workout, but you just ruined it!

By the way, thanks for giving permission to not go to the gym first thing in the a.m. :) I always feel like a slacker around morning people. They're so chirpy.

I have an Autistic son who came home one day during his freshman year and asked what "retard" means. And a non-disabled "friend" said it. Unspeakable cruelty.

Even so, I think the best thing we can do is to focus on the kind people we see and ignore the others. Otherwise we just feed their negative energy.

I don't mean to minimize the situation but I truly believe that you really hit it with the word "karma." Focus on the good karma.

Gina, thanks for this great article. I love the part about smelling the manual. Too funny! I'm a Mac lover, formerly of the PC persuasion, so I know exactly what you're going through. It's another world. Especially when you're freelancing or running an internet business. Congratulations. And, so glad to hear about your hubby's bp! I can relate.

Cheers,
Suzanne

I'm in the same boat as you guys. I'm a mother of freshmen in high school and I don't understand the criminal behavior that is the main interest among their peers. The parents definitely are slacking.
I chose to be a stay at home mom for these reasons, but things are getting worse. I hold my breath every time I drop my son off because I always feel it could be him.

If anyone could please refer me to REAL stay at home job, my family would really appreciate it. I have background in court reporting
so I would prefer something in typing.

Thanks so much

I'm commenting on my own blog post but have to say that I found the best last minute (meaning while we were trick or treating) costume ever! My son Alex, still in a cast, was having trouble getting from house to house. We all go in golf carts in this neighborhood (I don't personally own one but glom onto whichever neighbor will give me a ride) and Alex was tired. One of the kids was dressed as an Army dude and had this huge AK-47 type gun he was tired of dragging around. I grabbed it and my new costume was created--I'm Patty Hearst. So when I went door to door for Alex at least I had some sort of costume....ah, now Night of the Living Dead circa 1968 is on. Why can't Halloween be every night of the week????
